Plants on the ground are surely the most attacked and, logically, the most protected ones.
Two kinds of danger exist: small thieves and well organized thieves.

Well organized thieves, on the other hand, know that a 1MW plant contains good for more than 2 M€, therefore they make inspections, study existing anti-theft systems and know that videocameras do not work as active protection elements (they only help identifying the presence of thieves after the warning of another alarm system) and know that barriers have limitations, especially in winter time with fogs, ice and snow, as well as they know that telescopic handlers can be used to leap them.
People making such an investment know that IRR is guaranteed after 20 years and insurances guarantee only a partial covering in case of theft.

LiteSun has two levels of security:
LiteSUN cut
This system gives an alarm when the plastic optical fiber is cut. The fiber is fixed to the module with specific holed bolts with reinforced nut which cover and protect the whole slot of the panel.
The fiber is then passed in the holes of the bolts, which are all aligned with one another.
If maintenance requires the substitution of the panel, you will not need to unthread the fiber, it will be enough to cut and re-join it with two connectors, in less then one minute. |
LiteSUN PLUS
LiteSun Plus has one grade of security more, because it gives alarm even before the cut of the fiber, it is sufficient to stir it!
The fiber is fixed to the panels with specific rapid bolts (watch the video).
With rapid bolts the fiber is not threaded, but it is rather leant, thus simplifying the installation and the substitution of a panel in case of maintenance. |
